How to clean a microscope lens with lens paper
- Blow or brush off loose dust first.
- Put a drop of lens cleaning solution (85-95% ethanol) on the lens tissue, not directly on the lens.
- Wipe in a gentle circular motion from the center outward. For small lenses, wrap the tissue around a cotton swab.
- Use a fresh sheet for each pass until the lens is clear.
For more tips, see our microscope cleaning instructions. Never use regular tissues, paper towels, acetone or xylene on microscope optics.
